Train horses for competition and performance
Professional horse trainers develop equine athletes for competition in disciplines like reining, dressage, jumping, and racing. They design training programs, condition horses physically and mentally, prepare for shows, and manage client relationships in a demanding, rewarding career.
You arrive at the barn before dawn to feed and check horses, ride four prospects working on specific training goals, lunge a young horse on the longe line, discuss progress with a client over lunch, trailer to a nearby show for afternoon classes, and return to evening barn checks and paperwork.
